Tropical Stout brewed with Hop Burns & Black in celebration of their 10th Anniversary.
Last month we had the privilage to welcome some of the team from Hop Burns & Black to the brewery to help dream up and and create this Tropical Stout. We've been long term fans and customers of Hop Burns so we were very excited to be included within their 10th anniversary celebrations.
Brewed with lager yeast, but fermented warm which draws more tropical flavours from the yeast. You can expect a very smooth, well balanced stout with wonderful roasty bitterness along with an ASCII style version of the iconic HB&B cat, Neko on the label.

Keg at the brewery tap - Bermondsey. Pours clear, black-brown with a tight, creamy beige head. Light-medium sweet flavour with notes of ash, burnt rubber, bitter cocoa, some raisins. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with toothy dark malts, ashy roast, charred earth, bittersweet cocoa, old tyres. Delicious stuff.

Tap at the kernel tap room bermondsey. A opaque black coloured pour with a lasting khaki head. Aroma is rich earthy roast, salty roast, black liquorice,. Flavour is composed dry earthy roast, charred wood, liquorice, salty roast, singed dark fruits, burnt cake ends. Lingering robust roast. Palate is semi sweet, oily, moderate carbonation
