Sample thnx to Joost. pours black, small but dark head. Smell is tad sweet, roasty, medium intense. Taste is intense, roasty, sweet, mild coffee. Fairly complex. not sticky, but def a sweeter style of stout. Quite yummie.

Bottle. Black inky pour. Aroma of chocolate, red ripe fruit, licorice, booze and dates. Taste has boozy smooth ripe fruit, chocolate, licorice, thick malt, oak, syrup and a boozy warming finish. Nice potent syrupy ris.

Bottle shared at THT March. Black with light brown head. Roast, seaweed, lots and lots of sweet syrupy notes, molasses, laurel, blackberries. Very sweet and medium bitter. Full thick sticky body.

7 3 7 2 14 Bottle shared at THT March ‘18 (The Elephant Seal Edition). Black with a ring tan head. Aroma of rich dark malt, caramel, toffee, roast and dark chocolate. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Light full bodied with alcohol warmth and soft carbonation.

Bottle shared at Leighton's place 31/01/2018. Many thanks! A black mahognay brown coloured pour with a halo of tan head. Aroma is black malts, liquorice, apple, Flavour is composed of medium sweet, marshmallow, black malt, black apple, liquorice, jamnmy fruits, bruised apple. Palate is medium sweet, moderate carbonation. oily. Lingering bitter black malts. Sticky sweet.
