Fynsk Jul is a fresh, Belgian-inspired, Christmas wheat beer, topped off with prune juice. It has a lovely deep amber gold colour with a light veil and a nice froth, clearly revealing the large amount of wheat we used in this beer.
Fynsk Jul has a lovely elderflower fragrance and sweetness from the malt and prune syrup we used. There are also distinguished citrus fruit notes that come from the Cascade hops.
The taste is fresh with a pleasant sweetness that stems from the prune syrup and caramelised malts. It also has a delightful elderflower taste.
All in all, our Fynsk Jul is a fresh, sweet, full-bodied Belgian-inspired beer with an abundance of wheat. Though it is a Christmas beer, it actually tastes great at any time of the year.

Starting my danish Jule Øl Week. 0,5 l bottle from Netto, Blåvand. Cloudy golden like honey in the glass, one finger white foamy head. Floral hoppy smell, some malt in the background. Taste starts also fruity hoppy, some sweetness, some bitterness, pale grain. Citrus and elder flower. Below average carbonated. Not what you are expecting from a winter beer, but not bad at all.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with stable off-white head. Mild aroma of yeast and acid, with touches of malt and hints of hops. Sour taste with estery and malty notes and touches of pepper. Spicy and acetic aftertaste with notes of yeast. Not like a pale ale should be. Instead of citrus, you get an unpleasant soury taste that deafens all other nuances.

Bottle, 4.9%. Fruity and citric aroma. Smells infected, to be honest, but perhaps it is just the elderflower. Cloudy copper colour. Stable white head. The flavour is sweet and citric. Quite funky. Some old, sour kitchen rag. Tastes infected, but not the worst kind of infection.

hazy orange, giant smooth offwhite head. citrus peel, lemongrass dominates the aroma, i know ratebeer says apa, but i get some fainter belgian yeasty notes and wheat notes. on top of that all the citrussy hoppy stuff. flavor is hoppy bitter, not flowery hoppy bitter but more bitter bitter. some fruity notes (stale fruit flavor) apple and citrus fruit peel, malty spicy note towards the end. pretty uninteresting - tastes like a homebrew from someone who has a good reason not to brew professionally.

500 ml bottle, as Ørbæk Fynsk Jul Økologisk (Organic), from SPAR Hirtshals. ABV is 4.9%. Hazy orange to brown colour, moderate white head. Aroma of malts, prune juice and elderflowers, a hint of catpiss. Malts and prune juice in the flavour too, but not very sweet. Only a hint of elderflowers and citrus. Very weak Cascade hops, bland finish.

Merry Christmas!! 🎄🎁 50 cl bottle poured into my hipster mug. Hazy golden amber colour with a fast fading off-white head. Sweet aroma with citrus, caramel malts, elderflower, fruit juice and earthy hoppy notes. Taste is light sweet. Medium bodied, fizzy carbonation. Drying fruity finish with elderflower and fruits. Don't get the idea of this one.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a cloudy, grayish amber with a small, white head. Vague fruity notes. Medium body, a dry and slightly tart fruitiness with a subdued hoppiness. A harmless and very generic Ale kinda beer. 030119
