Crafted from Citra and Chinook hops to produce an intensely hoppy and refreshing Golden beer. The use of amber malt gives the beer an attractive richness with oodles of strong citrus and lovely tropical tones. A real “Hop Heads” beer.

Handpull cask at the Circus Tavern, Manchester. Light gold and clear with a large-ish white head. Light aroma, some malt, a little bit of lemon. Taste is maybe a little too sweet but otherwise very well balanced with a lemon zest bitterness in the finish with a hint of astringency. Lighter body with don't to medium carbonation. One of the better Hydes beers I have had.

Lowry is known as painter of the urban, so whilst I'm drinking this clear blonde coloured ale named after him, I doubt he'd paint this elevated position over the River Dee landscape where I'm sipping this one. It's a session ale, looking very pretty, with a smoothish texture. Hoppy in taste, and a hint of citrus in aroma.

Cask at Wellington, Birmingham. Oddly this is my first beer from the brewery. Clear gold with small white head. Aroma of apricot jam. This flows through to the taste, a bit biscuity, smooth, light bitterness. Unremarkable but very pleasant.

Cask-conditioned at the WG Grace (JDW), Bristol, 4 April 2022. Golden in colour, with a slight, white, head. Light aroma of citrus hop, tangerines and hay. Flavour had some traces of citrus fruits, light and sweet malts, leading to a gently bitter finish. Fine.

Cask at the White Swan, Solihull. Poured a clear golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a malt, yeasty, light citrus, woody hop bitter palate.
