Can shared at Craft Beer Junction tasting, picked up from an online peddler, 15/11/23. Black topped with a tan cap. Nose is rich roast, light smoke, charr, dried fruit esters. Taste comprises chocolate dipped raisins, light smoke, charr, earthy, ashen bite, burnt toffee. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, drying close punctured with a rising boost. Not bad.

440ml can. Pitch black pour with a dense brown head. Aroma of cacao, roast malt, coffee. Taste of bitter dark chocolate, coffee, roast malt, surprisingly light on the bourbon, more oaky/woody notes than bourbon itself, warming booze and bitter finish. Full bodied. This is really good, not getting any off flavours others are describing and it's certainly not thin!?

Creamy light brown head left a spotty cover a dark brown still body. Liquorice, boozy, bourbon & boozy aroma. Medium bodied, smooth thinning out to a clean back. Malt, bourbon, liquorice, berry & chocolate tastes with a bitter finish. Lacking in body & depth.

440ml can. Pours jet black with a large head. Aroma is sweetbourbon, dark chocolate and a little booze. Taste is sweet and woody to start with a meaty and yeasty dark chocolate finish.

28/12/2023. Can shared by Colin, cheers. Pours black with a few beige bubbles. Aroma is roasted malts, cacao, dark chocolate, wood, bourbon, coffee, vanilla. Moderate sweetness, quite heavy roasted bitterness. Medium to full body, very smooth, soft carbonation. Drying bitter finish, maybe a touch too much.

Can thanks to my Bro. It pours opaque black with a decent brown bread. The aroma is dark roasted malt, bitter - sweet, sappy, fresh bourbon, bourbon soaked oak, toffee, vanilla, cacao, coffee, chocolate gateway, some dark fruits & berry, cherry and black forest gateaux. The taste is slick, thick, oily, dry roasted malt, charred, slightly ashy, earthy, bitter - sweet, plenty of umami, liquorice, burnt toast, dark fruits, berry, cherry, black forest gateaux, bourbon soaked oak and warming alcohol with a dark roasted malt with a slick finish. Fulsome body and moderate, velvety carbonation. Other reviews are a bit of a mixed bag... This can delivers. Flavourful and balanced. Tasty.
