This is a strong American Amber Ale fermented with kveik yeast and aged for 15 months in barrels from the Carcavelos DOC region, the tiniest of Portugal. They produce amber-colored ‘generoso’ wines that are fortified to become dessert wines. We had absolutely no problem with sampling this beer during its ripening period! But hey, you have to let go…
