Easy IPA.
Never sacrifice flavors for drinkability. We brewed this session IPA with sticky Hop Hash to keep the hop chop high, the calories low, and the ABV mellow. Crisp, crushable the High Light of your day.

Blik gedeeld door Roelzie, geprobeerd met Romy, Meindert en Lieke. Het is een bleekgeel bier met een dun wit schuim. Het heeft een hoppige geur. De smaak is hoppig en citrusachtig.

355ml can. Around two weeks away from the best before date. Pours hazy gold with a small white head. Aroma is grapefruit, lemon, tired hops. Taste is light sweet, watery, citrus fruits. Light to medium bitter finish. Light bodied. I assume it would be a lot better fresh.

OK, is this just another of a hundred thousand trillion ubiquitous IPA out there? Or will this be something special that sets it apart? You know, my feeling about an IPA is that it should have some alky in it to make the bitter bastard at least somewhat euphoric, but this stuff is only 4%; at least there is some happy bullshit in there. From a $1 can at JR's clearance rack, this stuff pours almost clear pale until you get to the bottom of the can and then its just a tad hazy. It smells like pine cones. Decent amount of carbonation. It lacks the typical skunk veggie cabbage thing so common with most session IPA and I am grateful for that. Does have a little IPA bitterness but this stuff mostly comes across like many APA, not really an IPA per se. Kind of surprised about how this brew runs with me, not bad overall; but I would like a little more alky for the pine cone bitterness I'm enduring.

Kroger can. Gold, hint of haze, inch of off-white head. Orange oil, soapy nose... aroma is quite light. Cardboard, lemon and orange zest, very light pine. I suppose it's better than pounding a Bud Light if you're going for light beer, but this isn't worth much more than that.
