This ridiculously tasty Amber Ale is a Northwest classic and our flagship brew. Don’t just take our word for it - Full Sail Amber has brought home 28 gold medals. Not that we’re counting or anything. Malty sweet, medium-bodied with a reddish amber hue and a spicy floral hop finish, this is one great-tasting beer. We’re as proud of it today as we were back in ’89.

Bottle from a supermarket in Oregon. Aroma is sturdy caramel malts, notes of toffee and ripe fruits with a hint of hops. Flavour is almost medium sweet and moderate to medium bitter. Body is medium. Agreeable American Amber with a bittersweet finish.

This ale initially burst forth into the glass like a nitro charged stout, but the creamy head settled quickly onto a amber beer with coppery highlights. An aroma of citrus and melons greeting the nose. Almost perfectly balanced between malty sweetness & hoppy dryness, it settled on the tongue just to the sweet side, saving a smooth hoppy dryness for the finish.

bottle. pours somewhat hazy copper-amber with a small off-white head. The aroma is mild with grains, caramel malts and a bit of pine. The taste is dominated by the overly sweet caramel malts--and thats all i really get. The palate is on the thin side. Finishes short and saccharine. Overall: OK brew--I remember enjoying this back in the late 1990's when all I had to compare it to was BMC macro stuff and I thought it was quite revolutionary. But it really does not hold up to current expectations.

A ridiculously clear amber brown with a small wispy beige head and a peppery toffee biscuit aroma. Medium bodied with a raspy carbonation. The taste is a bit average with caramel and bread notes some paste and fruits with a dry some spicy herbal honey finish. Quite drinkable but a little too dry for me.

Bottle - Caramel, light raisin and some nutty notes. Clearish amber brown with a decent white head. Light nutty notes and some toffee with a hint of bitterness. Classic.

Bottle. Copper colour, small head. Aroma is herbal hops, toffee. Medium bitterness, no sweetness. Decent, but not very interesting, very English in character.

I enjoyed trying this particular beer, unlike some beers in this style I thought it was flavorful and well crafted. Easily drinkable but with just enough bitterness on the back of the tongue.
