Sample at SBWF 2015. Black with a tan head. A lot of viola both in the aroma and taste. Also licorice and some chocolate. Very sweet and unbalanced. Not my kind of beer.

Bottled at Bishops Arms Linnegatan, Stockholm. Black, rich beige head. Aroma of viola/licorice pastilles. Super sweet with full body and sticky mouthfeel. Viola extract, salmiak and saccharine. Syrupy and sticky. A mess.

330ml Bottle (NK Ölbar, Stockholm) - Black with a foamy tan head. Parma violets (or viol pastilles), plain chocolate and liquorice in the aroma. The taste is rich, fairly bitter and dominated by parma violets, but notes of roasted coffee and liquorice can also be detected. Enjoyable but one bottle is enough due to the richness (and the abv too!).

How: Bottle.
Where: NK Bar, Stockholm.
Appearance: Dark brown colour with a thick brown head.
Aroma: Viola, liquorice.
Body: Medium body and carbonation.
Flavour: Viiola, Fazer viola candy, liquorice. Good for the first few sips, but too much viola in it for more than that.
