Brewed only once a year with ever-changing recipe, Tippa Double IPA is a special beer to us. It has been with us basically from the start, and is definitely one the highlights every year.
This year's version is a hazy NEDIPA. With proper bitterness level included, as always. It has dry body for high quaffability, but it's sturdy enough to avoid excess booziness. Ripe mango and pineapple dominate, but you'll find some dank from Strata and CTZ as well.
Fermentables: Golden Promise, Dextrin, Enzyme, Flaked Oat, Oat Malt, Dextrose, Maltodextrin.
Kettle/Whirlpool Hops: CTZ Extract, Mosaic, Strata, Citra Incognito.
Dry Hops (DDH): Azacca, Strata, Talus.
Yeast: Lallemand Nottingham

Draught@Juova, Helsinki. Hazy orange colour with a mediumsized white foamy head. Aroma is grapefruits, some mild tropical fruits, floral elements with pineapple and mild earthy tones. Flavour is very similar to the aroma. Refreshing, but remains a bit dull compared some of the previous versions.

Tap at Bar Havanna, Pori. Hazy orange colour and small white head. Dryish grapefruity aroma. Medium-bodied. Grapefruit, tropical fruits in the flavour. Ok but not the best Tippa.

Tap at Juova, Helsinki. Medium body, med-high carbonation. Med-high bitterness, medium juicy sweetness. Med-high general fruitiness, exotic, med-light citrusy. Good one.

On tap at Oluthuone Leskinen. Hazy yellow with a small white head. Really bitter with grapefruit, resin, hops and some mango.

Sweet and juicy tropical fruity with some floral hops, pineapple and mango, hints of grapefruit and citrus. Keg at Leskinen, Oulu. Aroma is has sweet stone fruit. Passion fruit. Mango. Hazy dull orange. Thin creamy white head sticks to the rim. Initial medium resinous bitterness, alongside stone fruit. The latter gradually provides more sweetness before a syrupy sweet sweep into the finish, into which the bitterness still lingers. Oily. Flat-soft carbonation. Long dry very astringent finish. Decent DNEIPA.
