Can. Mitchell’s Wines, Sheffield. Stunningly ugly, muddy brown. Fine, lasting, lacing, mocha head. Nose has cocoa. Grapefruit. Bitter lemon. Some pineapple. Is there Sorachi in this? Whatever, it’s got a bit of a coconut vibe. Taste is sweet and chocolatey, with a big punch of green leaf hop bitterness. Medium body. Low carbonation. Definitely some hop burn here. Long, slightly harsh bitterness to finish. An oddity, but overall one I’d take a punt in again.

355ml can. Pours a murky brown with yeast particles in suspension and a medium, creamy, long lasting, tan head that leaves curtains of lace. Aroma of toasted malt, bread, grapefruit rind, ash, earth and piney hops. Sweet flavour of toasted malt, caramel, dark chocolate, grapefruit, orange peel and ash with a dry, bitter, piney hop finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Pretty tasty.

Roast and lots of citrus hops. Black pour with good head and lacing. Creamy consistency. Bitter end with caramel and some hop tang. A little imbalanced. Bottle.

Aromas are roast, old hops, chocolate malt. Flavors are like nose on the dry side, also fairly bitter. Had expected better from evil twin but oh well. Not balanced. I wouldn't get this again.

06.12.2018, 12 oz can shared with friends @ home:
Nice light amber bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head, murchy black pour. Aroma is slightly sweet grassy, dark malts, fresh hops, leafs, dark sugar, pine needles, moss, caramel, lawn. Taste is dry grassy, bark, dusty hops, pine needles, dark malts, minerals, fruit stones, lawn, salty licorice, soil, roasted grain. Longlasting dry bitterness, slightly sweet grassy mouthfeel with a tiny hopburn far back. Nice enough.

Can. A black beer with a lazing dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, citrus fruits, hops, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, citrus fruits, roasted malt, and prunes, leading to a bitter finish.

Pour is a muddy brown with a large tan head. Aroma is a very slight citrus hop with a even slighter smoked malt. Flavor is again a smoky malt with a little bitter bakers chocolate and a herbal hop. Finishes leaves a bit of hop on the tongue. Decent beer, this is more of a hoppy brown ale more than anything.
