Thirsty Hippo is a Coriander Amber Ale with hints of orange and lemon flavours and a gentle bitterness, brewed using two types of malt, coriander seeds and adventurous English hops to create a gentle body. To round out the tropical flavour profile I am dry hopped with a combination of New World hops.
Drink me nicely chilled on a warm summer day, perhaps with some pasta, salads or why not a BBQ?

330ml. can. @home, Compostela. 27/07/2023 [#6.594 Global - #148 Sweden - #1 The Uncharted Brewing Company (My Swedish Brewery #38)] Pours amber with a rochy white head. Aroma: caramel, biscuits, nuts and spiced malts. Taste: coriander, marmalade, biscuits, grapefruits and orange zest. Spiced mouthfeel. Next one please!

Rocky white head left a froth on a deep amber coloured body. Malt, pine , resin & fruity aroma. Medium bodied, foamy, clean & sharp. Orange, malt, coriander & fruity tastes with a salty finish. Nice.

Deep amber, small lasting beige head. Light pear aroma. Bland with vague malt/fruit with very light bitterness. Drinkable, not memorable

Can 33 cl. Pours nutty brown with a slight haze and a dense and lacing off-white head. Distinct, perfumy coriander in the nose which is rather unusual fpr an Amber Ale. Medium body, dry caramel and nuts with a spicy and herbal hop finish that adds quite some bitterness. Well balanced and solid, nothing fancy - apart from the perfumy nose.... 080218

Draught @ MBWF 2018 [ Malmö- Öl & Whiskyfestival 2018 ], Malmömässan, Mässgatan 6, 215 32 Malmö, Sweden. [ As The Uncharted Thirsty Hippo ].Clear medium red - orange amber colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, sweet malt, caramel, mesk, nutty. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration. sweet malt, pale malt, grain, mesk, hay - straw, caramel. Tap@Ølfestival København 2018, Copenhagen - amber coloured pour with off-white head. Sweet malty and fruity with some marmalade, grapefruit and pine hoppy notes, pretty sweet with some caramel, medium bitter with a touch of spice in the finish
