Late Red is a complex, richly-flavoured autumn hop ale. With an appropriately Autumnal auburn hue, this premium beer achieves a perfect balance between rich, dark malt flavours, and a strong, robust hoppiness.

The finest pale ale malt and gently-kilned crystal malt is brewed with Cascade and East Kent Goldings to create a hoppy flavour, double enhanced with the late copper addition of East Kent Goldings and Cascades added to the cask for racking.

Plum, prunes, raisins, a touch of toffee and tropical fruit are just of the flavour flourishing beneath the crimson-copper coloured cloak of this eminently easy-drinking ale.

Half-pint, cask at Mabel's Tavern. Deep copper body, dissipating off-white head, spotty lacing. Prominent caramel aromas, inviting. Blended taste character of caramel, biscuit, and herbal hops. Ends smooth with caramel malts. Nice. (St Pancras, Greater London 06.11.2022).

Cask @ Coast Guard, St. Margret‘s Bay. Clear dark red/ruby with the typical small white head. Aroma of red fruits, marzipan and surprisingly booze. Taste of biscuits, caramel, vinegar, marzipan, red fruits and grapes with hints of chocolate. Slightly tangy. Low bitterness. Low carbonation. A good one.

Cask at Crown and Cushion, Minley. Vague fruity aroma. Reddish chestnut. Frothy off-white head. Light bitter with a berry sweetness. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Abrupt finish. Goes down easily by virtue of being so bland. Light weight ESB.

Pint of cask in the Bishops Finger in Smithfield. A deep red colour in the glass and a bit of lacing. The taste was all about the malt and that sweetness you get in these autumn beers. The mouthfeel was super smooth from all the malt and the beer was in tip top condition. Very enjoyable..

Cask half-pint in my local Wetherspoon's on 26th Oct 2017. So much better than the bottled version. Amber bodied, slight red hue; off-white crown. Hedgerow fruits in the nose and taste, dry finish.
