Can 12fl.oz. @ home. [ As Prairie Pink Guava Funk ].Murky - muddy matt medium yellow orange colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat - pale malt, guava, fruity, pink grapefruit - pink guava, tart, sour, fruity - tropical fruit, citric. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light to moderate acidic with a long duration, tropical fruit, tart, citric, guava, pink guava - pink grapefruit. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20181107] 8-3-8-3-16

Draft at Snallygaster DC 2018. Poured a mostly clear yellowish color with a small white head. Aroma was nice guava character. Lots of tropical fruit notes. Reminds me of a lot of tropical fruit punch. Juicy with a little bit of fruity tartness.

Can from Craft Brewed. Pours thick, murky and chunky pinkish orange with a head that dissipates almost instantly. Strong sulphur aromas with acidic vinegar, guava, toffee and orange blossom. Strong acidity on the palate with a sharp tart flavor. Bright citrus, pink guava flesh and a pithy tart-bitter lingering note with a touch of the sulphur coming back. Insanely acidic and not much balance. Not bad, but not as good as the old funk series.

On tap at Grizzly’s. Pours a hazy orange gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of sour pink guava with a bit of funk and sweetness underlying. Flavor is full of pink guava that has a sour kick and a bit of funk underlying.

Can from Bruisin’ Ales. Pours finely hazy gold with a white head. Aroma has a mild sourness as well as pink guava. Med body or so. Flavor is definitely mostly pink guava, and the sour is quite moderate. Fairly dry - nearly astringent- but the guava provides an illusion of sweetness. Very nicely done. A kettle sour that actually seems to be ale!
