Cask at Shrewsbury Beer Festival 2022. Pours dark brown with a ruby hue and a light tan cap. Aroma: light sweet malts, nutty. Taste: light malts, nuts, vague dried fruits. Light body with low carbonation. Reasonable.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2016, [ Great British Beer Festival 2016 ], London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX. [ As Goody Good Evening ].Clear dark brwon - red amber colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, caramel, wood, berry. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, sour berry - wood, fruity malt, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20160810] 6-4-6-3-11

Cask @ GBBF 2016. Pours a dark amber brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel and dark fruit aroma. Fruity malty caramel and dark fruit flavor. Has a fruity malty caramel finish.

Bottle from a bottle shop in Whitstable. Poured a clear brown colour with a reddish hue. The aroma is roasty malt, creamy fudge, red berry fruit, chocolate, light floral hop. The flavour is moderate sweet, light liquorice bitter with a light watery dry roasty charcoal smoky sweet malt palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at GBBF 2016. Day 1. Pours clear brown with a frothy, tan head. A little tangy, with notes of dried berries, vague chocolate, toasty malts. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with touches of leathery berries. Not bad.

Cask at GBBF 2016. It pours rich deep brown with a thick yellow - beige head. The aroma is musty, wood, meaty, bovril, marmite and slightly oxidised notes. The taste Is smooth, brown bread, quote light, umami, dried berry, tangy dark fruits, wood and touch of marmite. Log body and decent carbonation. A fruit & meaty mild. Good condition helps it along. Ok.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Clear deep amber beer, good yellowish tan pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Thin dark malts, a touch of creamy sweetness. Tangy fruits - a little watery. Some floral bitterness on the finish. Somewhat wishy washy but fine.

Cask at GBBF ’16, day one, 09/08/16. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent beige head. Nose is toffee, spice, light cocoa sprinkle, farty notes. Taste comprises fruit esters, straw, light tobacco, toasted grains, brown bread. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Ok.

Sampled @ GBBF Day 2. Dark brown color, average to decent sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, brown malts, dark roasted nuts, caramel, lightly milk chocolate, malt bitter. Average to decent body and carbonation. Ok beer.
