Bottle. A black one, topped by a small dark beige head. The aroma has loads of peanut or peanut butter, with notes of maple syrup and a good dash of coffee. It's full-bodied and fat-ish on the palate, softly carbonated and with a lot of peanut in the flavor. Roasted malts, coffee, maple syrup hints and an acidic touch too. Lasting finish with peanut butter and peanut shells. Interesting and in a way very nice, but it's too much on the acidic side and the peanut-ish side. 191231

Pours a pitch black colour and a decent brown head with pretty good retention. Aroma's of ground coffee and peanuts, blending surprisingly well. Retronasal it's peanuts, a bit sourish (?), firm roast. Flavour is light sour, roasted. Alcohole feel is moderate. Medium bodied. Nutty and sourish finish. Surely not how this is supposed to be?

Bottled 355ml (Mikkeller web)
Opaque colour, small beige head. Toasted, sweet aroma with cocoa, coffee, peanut butter and chilli kind vegetable notes. Full-bodied. Sweet, coffee, cocoa, chocolate muffins, peanuts, light spices in the flavour. Typical but tasty, complex pastry stouts.

Delicious imperial coffee stout, rich with dark chocolate, anise, caramel, and roast, underlined by black cherry, brown sugar, and surprisingly subtle peanut butter notes on the fade. Viscous and slightly boozy, but it should be. Much too easy to drink for such a monstrous stout.
