Poured from a 16 oz can dated January 02, 2025.
Aroma is malt forward with lots of toasted bread, caramel, nuts, toffee and hints of chocolate. Hints of woody, herbal hops and hints of alcohol.
Pours a clear auburn color with ruby and amber hues and a medium large, thick, tan head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers. Moderately strong notes of caramel, toffee and toasted bread with lighter notes of nuts and hints of chocolate and roast. Medium light bitterness and faint alcohol notes. Light lingering woody, herbal hop notes.
Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a decent mild. It has nice malt notes and balanced bitterness. The alcohol is well hidden. I think the malt profile could be a bit more complex and a bit less sweet though.
Flavor is a bit sweet with nice malt forward notes.

Can from Cap Tap. Pours clear, dark ruddy copper with a creamy beige head. Toffee aroma. Med body, but thins quickly. Flavor is toffee with notes of tea and biscuit. Malty, but not sweet. Mildly bitter. Floral hop. Tea is providing some astringency, so it's not typical English mild. Nice drink tho.
