37.5 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a fully diminished white head. Mild cornish and sligh acidic to dry aroma. Flavour is mild mild mouldy malt. A bit spiced and followed by a dry bitterness. Flat and somewhat boring finish.

Kangaroo to you! I should have known this was a golden ale, it is friendly from the start. smells a little lemony on top of the typical good yeasty beer aroma. Yellow with a slight haze and then there is this swirling hypnotizing stuff that forms a tempest in your glass. This is from the gunk on the bottom of the bottle which is expounded upon on the side of the label. Don’t you just love these aussie bottles that naturally come with almost 13 oz when compared to those under filled euro bottles of 11 oz? Mild ale flavors. Rather mild for an ale, even tho there is a bit of ale bite, it is well behaved and well mannered. Neither offensive nor over the top, just a plain old good enjoyable session brew. Precipitant adheres to the side of the glass continuously in an interesting manner, quite a aesthetic show. Looks like white pepper in there. Finish is certainly ale but it is well controlled and fun. An enjoyable non offensive pale ale, I was expecting something bitter but I am pleasantly surprised.

Bottle from Tesco. Hazy gold in colour with a slight white head. Sweet malt and honey aroma with some grassy hops. Flavour was sweet with an industrial, metallic finish. Not for me.

[375ml bottle from Tesco’s Reading] Strongly and unpleasantly carbonated, yet virtually no head. Tastes weak and watery at first, but by the end a hint of grassiness, a little lemon and a reasonable wedge of malt had come through. A slight background bitterness is balanced quite well against a sweetness in the foretaste. However, I had to stretch my tastebuds a little to pick out all this; overall this is more reminiscent of a pale lager than many of the pale lagers out there, and the over-the-top fizziness makes it unpleasant to drink. I feel that the good brewers of Burton would be quite horrified that Coopers are trying to link this to them!

Lacks a bit of the punch and complexity of it’s red-labelled buddy - but a more refreshing and lighter ale for warmer Aussie summer days.

Bottle. Poured cloudy amber with a white head. Floral, grassy aroma. Medium bodied and fizzy. Crisp refreshing fruity initial taste giving way to mild floral bitterness. It’s a good, but unexceptional, pale ale, a bit bland.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy pale golden color with a small white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is a light malt with citrus and lemon. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is a sweet lemon citrus with a bitter finish and a bit watery. A decent golden ale from Coopers.

375 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. Also bought at Vaaland Ølutsalg, Bryne. Bottle conditioned, sediment in bottle. Pale golden colour, slightly hazy, large head. Very nice and fruity aroma, moderately spicy. The flavour has also spicy and fruity notes, slightly more rounded than their Sparkling Ale. Inspired by English (Burton-on-Trent) pale ales, but there seems also to be a "Belgian" touch here. Very nice and drinkable.
