It's our 2nd birthday this November so we brewed up a cake to celebrate. Dark cherries, cocoa nibs, vanilla & lactose mix together to create this untraditional black forest treat. Get lost in the layers of this velvety smooth dessert stout. Now we can have our cake and drink it too.

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6
473 ml can. Pours black with moderate tan head. Aromas of chocolate, lactose, sweetened cherries and soft roasted malts. Flavors follow same though cherry comes access as artificial and overall result is less rich and chocolatey than a Black Forest Cake. Lactose to blame IMHO.

473mL can. Pours opaque dark brown with medium beige head. Aroma has chocolate, dark cherries, a touch of coffee. Flavour has dark cherries, some pits, dark chocolate, maybe a bit of roast. Pretty solid for this kind of pastry stout: adjuncts are clear without completely dominated the stout; lacking in depth. Nice.
