West Coast Double IPA
Dominated by complementary bright citrus and bitter grapefruit flavours and accented by earthy pine undertones. A style appropriate bitterness throughout, finishing clean with a light malty sweetness.

473 ml can. Pours amber with moderate head. Aromas of doughy malts, mashed stoned fruit, a little citrus, and a little pine. Flavors follow same with more emphasis on pine; though still lots of bready malts. Tidy bitter finish. Clean. Very good.

Gold, bright, medium head. Medium bitterness, lots of pale malt and light alcohol in the finish. Not super exciting, but competent.

473mL can. Pours clear gold with moderate white head. Aroma has woody pine and citrus peel. Flavour has woody pine, crisp malts, some sticky resin. Really nice balance between hops and malt. This is excellent.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Dark blond colour, clear; large, compact head. Aroma of malt, honey, grass, mild pine, mild dank. Good body, the sweetness is low; the malt flavour leans towards hay, bread, with a touch of biscuits; the bitterness is bold, and it comes with a resinous character.
Not particularly bright, but it's a powerful, modern IIPA.

473mL can, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out fresh piney hops, moderate resins, and bready malt. Flavour is classic west coast, with bright, moderately bitter piney hops, some resins, light spiciness, and crisp biscuity malt. Very hoppy, clean, bright and balanced. Damn impressive. Haven't had a local west coast IIPA like this in forever. Fantastic.
