On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a hazy, nearly-opaque darkish orange with a small white head. Aroma is very fruity and malt-heavy, with notes of syrupy caramel malt, mango and then some subdued resinous hops. Flavour is very different than the nose suggests, with an extremely hoppy and dry palate - with notes of woody resinous hops, some earthy notes, and more wood. Harshly astringent, dry and woody - this one isn't easy drinking in any way, nor balanced at all. Not very good. Hopefully the next renditions in the series will improve.

Average on the IPA front. Pours cloudy orange with great head and lacing. Not much initial smell or lacing but aroma has some piney hops with faint mint. Gotta find out what this hops variety is because it keeps popping up here in BC. Finishes with light bitterness. Soft carbonation. Tap at Alibi Room.
