Hand-pulled half-pint in the Guide Dog, Southampton on 11th June 2022. Beige top on an almost black body. Chocolate front to the nose and taste, fairly smooth body feel, nice!

Half-pint, cask ale at Guide Dog. Shared with Finn. Good looking with a fawn-coloured head, clingy lacing, and a dark coloured body with a deep ruby glint. Inviting smell of roasted dark chocolate malts. Fine blended taste of chocolate and toffee. Ends mid-sweet, slightly roasted. Nice. (Southampton 21.10.2019).

Delt med Rune. Så vidt gjennomskinnelig ultradyprød. Eg. svart. Filmskum med litt farge. Melkesjokoladearoma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken som aromaen. Litt kjedelig. Avslutter søtt & tørt.

8/8/2019. Cask at the 2019 Great British Beer Festival. Pours very dark brown with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, dried fruit, toffee, coffee and vanilla. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Nice roasted finish. Very drinkable.

Cask (Queen Inn, Winchester) - Black in colour. Chocolate, dark fruits, vanilla and cream in the aroma. Fairly rich taste with dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla and some dark fruits such as blackcurrant. Quite smooth and flavourful for a beer of this strength.

Cask at the brewpub. Chocolate, coffee, dark berries and vanilla. Dark and glossy. Bubbly beige head - patchy. Light bitter. Underlying creamy sweetness. Gains bitterness as it progresses. Light-medium bodied. Low fat cream. Flat-average carbonation. Long astringent finish. Decent. Does what's expected.
