Simcoe Pale Ale. Flavours of pine, citrus & tropical fruits with a soft bitterness, brewed with a small proportion of oats for smoothness. Perfect after a long day tilling the fields

23/7/2018. Bottle from CentrAle, Newcastle. Pours golden with a small off-white head. Aroma of Simcoe hops, lemon, grass, straw, flowers, tropical fruit, biscuit and pine. Medium sweet, light bitterness. Light body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Nice, except for the fizziness.

Cask from Caps Off, Bishop Auckland. Golden colour, thin white foam head and tropical fruit hop aroma. Taste is malt caramel, toffee, with mellow tropical fruits, citrus hoppy light bitterness. Light bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Gravity cask at Broood, Leicester. Light to mid-gold, flat. The aroma is gentle but there are no complaints from me about the notes of apricot, tangerine, pine and spruce. Bittersweet taste which is basic but fruity and refreshing with a gritty hop kick in the long finish. I like this very much.
