Wakefield Beer Festival 2018. Near black in colour and very sweet, this is fused with a clear strength and the result is overbearing.

Cask @ Nottingham Beer Festival. Medium head with medium duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are caramel, malt, hops and has a bit of an off taste.

Keg at RNV. It pours darkest brown - black with a small tan head. The aroma is earthy, dirty, spicy, vimto, umami, rich roasted malt, tangy berry skin and cranberry. The taste is dry, bitter, oily, berry skin, tannin, juniper, cranberry, earth and leather with a chewy finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Medium body and fine carbonation. Interesting for sure.

Dan's Stag. Beer Emporium. Bristol. Keg? Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light, semi dry and has modest fine carbonation. Tangy dark fruits and a trace of dark chocolate. Slight savoury vibe. Light finish. Okay, quite tangy.

Draft at the Royal Navy - Bristol. Pours deep brown with a creamy tan head. The nose has a little ash, dark berries, faint peat. Light sweet flavourbwith Joe's of iodine, blackberry, cocoa, scorched earth. Medium bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation. Finishes with some tangy dark malts, berries, suggestions of cocoa. Alright.
