Plain golden coloured, moderately hazy but you can still see through it a bit. Average sized white head, shows quite good retention and lacing. The aroma turns out to be quite subdued, with soft maltiness (white bread notes) and honey taking the main stage, and just a hint of floral bitterness and citric (tangerine?) notes. Not bad, but the sweetness is sort of covering the hoppy notes. Taste feels brighter: again, soft maltiness with mainly white bread and a bit of hay, a quite strong honey note, delicate citric hints (still, a bit too much in the back for an ipa) and a bit of dry floral bitterness. Slightly on the sweet side in the mouth, good enough dryness and balance in finish/aftertaste. Feels fine in the overall balance and taste profile, though you'd expect a bit more hoppy notes presence in an ipa. Medium to slightly above medium bodied, average, light/fine bubbled carbonation, a fairly lively mouthfeel and fair drinkability for style/abv. An ok one on the whole.

Bottiglia. Il gusto al naso viene attratto dal luppolo. L'intensità olfattiva è elevata e la maniera in cui permane è sufficiente. Il mantello birroso superiore ha una buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana media. Il liquido appare opalescente. Il colore è ambrato. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è intenso. La forza gustativa è elevata e la persistenza è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano luppolate. Il retrogusto è intenso. Sul tetto della bocca si fermano caratteristiche di miele, crosta di pane, luppolo, resina, pino, agrumi, pompelmo e ananas.

On keg at Doppio Malto, Glasgow. Appearance - hazy golden with a thin white head. Nose - honey, bread and citrus. Taste - honey, caramel and bread. Palate - medium bodied, sweet finish. Overall - ok.

Keg @ Doppio Malto, occupying one part of George Square in Glasgow. Golden with a small head. Honey is strongest in aroma but evident in taste too, and certainly doesn't feel its strength in taste, although is obviously a strong brew.

Smell of malt, faint caramel. Amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of booze, sweet malt, very limited hoppiness. Very boozy for this low ABV. Soft carbon. Bitter, lightly sweet.
