Draft, 1812 amber at Harry’s, Tallahassee FL. A very nice amber, about as good as the style can be. Featured a grassy peppery hop (Britishy) with a mildly caramelized bready malt with a medium mouthfeel. Reminded me of fresh Bass Ale to a degree. Clean presentation, fresh. Good partner to food and good for sessions.

Bottle: Poured a medium copper color ale with a huge slightly off-white head with average retention. Aroma of sweet fruity malt with some discreet bitter hops. Taste is very light overall with some sweet malt and a light bitter finish. I’ve seen worse amber but still, this one won’t go down in history.

Amber ale with a sweet malty aroma and grass. Sweet malts in mouth, with some boiled corn (DMS?). Very little hops. A little nutty in the end. Lighter bodied.

Light yellow body, with a little head that dissipated rapidly. Aroma was fresh, but not too distinct of grassy/hops. There was little taste to this beer. Light body, some grassy notes mainly, slight tinge of sweetness on the palate with a hint of hops at the finish. Nothin special here.
