Lambic Style - Unblended Regular Out of Production|

Meerts is our take on the style of beer traditionally derived from the second runnings of Lambic. Our modern interpretation begins with Pilsner malt, raw wheat, and Saaz hops, which is brewed using a turbid mash and long boil, and fermented in French oak foeders with our wild yeast prior to bottle conditioning. You will find a delicate balance between lemon tartness and rustic earthiness inside its marigold yellow pour.

Golden color and a really small white head. Funky nose, tart, green apples, sour apricots and unripe berries. Nice one.

18/VIII/21 - on tap @ Beer Temple (Amsterdam), BB: n/a (2021-864) Thanks to the misses for going on a beer tour with me!
Clear pale blond to light yellow beer, small creamy irregular off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: nice brett, funky, clean acidity, bit fruity. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty sourish start, very lemony, lots of citrus, some vinegar, very sourish, a bit too much. Aftertaste: pretty metallic in the finish, lemony, fruity, some peaches and apricots, little bitter, more lemony, vinegar in the back of the throat. Not bad, but a bit too sharp.

Crowler from BD Inverurie. It pours a kind of a pond water colour with a few bubbles on top. The aroma is musty, funky, white grape, gooseberry, splash of white wine vinegar, sherbet, soor plooms and wet oak. The taste is dry, tart, puckering, savoury vibes, some light acidity, salt & vinegar crisps, pickled onion monster munch, granny smith apple, white grape, gooseberry, wet wood and damp funk with a drying finish. Medium body and a hint of carbonation. Pretty true to the unblended lambic character. A touch rough and ready.

A really nice lambic styled beer. Super clean and classically tart. Neutral and true to style, great for unblended. Brewdog hamburg

Draft. A hazy yellow beer with no head. The aroma has notes of brett, funk, and lemons. The flavor is sour with notes of lemons, brett, and funk, leading to a lightly sour finish.

Keg at Old Fashioned, 1.17.20. Thought I'd had this but apparently not. Clear gold, no head. Aroma of cider apples, funk, vinegar, and a bit of caramel. Taste is funk, pepper, cherry, apricot. Medium bodied, moderate lingering tartness. Both simple and interesting.

Hazy, pours lively but also no head. The nose has some sour milk funkiness, light body, touch of barrel, some citrus, hay...different, has a nice unique yeast note and expressive fruits.
