Meerts is our take on the style of beer traditionally derived from the second runnings of Lambic. Our modern interpretation begins with Pilsner malt, raw wheat, and Saaz hops, which is brewed using a turbid mash and long boil, and fermented in French oak foeders with our wild yeast prior to bottle conditioning. You will find a delicate balance between lemon tartness and rustic earthiness inside its marigold yellow pour.

Bottle shared by Jeff; thanks! Hazy yellow color. Some lemon, citrus. Yeast. This is sour with an acidic bite and full flavored. One of the better examples made outside of Belgium. Well carbonated.

(On tap @ MBCC 2017 Blue Session, Copenhagen) Pours lightly hazy yellow gold with a small white head. Notes of tart lemon and fruity esters, slightly grainy malt, soft white grapes, dry grass, cheesy funk, leathery oak, light sweetness and light to moderate lactic acidity, rather dry finish. Light to medium bodied, pretty softly carbonated. Sure, it's light overall as you'd expect but it's good a pretty decent flavour balance to it. Quite solid.

Fat på MBCC 2017. Smak och doft av citrus, vete, koriander med toner av litchi och päron. Frisk, lagom sötma, lätt kropp, disig, mild, rund och len, fin beska och syrlighet. Gott!
