Panda at home, thanks to Wingmane, 06/02/21. Black with a tan cap. Nose is dark chocolate, mellow roast, hint of booze, brown sugar melt, molasses. Taste comprises sweet malts, roasted bite, dried fruits, hint of liquorice, light coffee trace, chocolate, spice, molasses, brown sugar melt. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a kick of booze. Decent enough Impy ... carries off the 12% boost pretty well.

330ml bottle bought from Sophie's Beer Store and drunk at home. Very dark brown with an indigo hue and a quickly dissipating tan head. Coffee, and touch of whisky and the slightest hint of smoke on the nose. There's possibly a little bit of the advertised tonka bean. Boozy hit on the taste: rough and bittersweet. Some vanilla and rubber in the aftertaste. Big oily body, medium carbonation. It's intense and maybe hangs together less well than I'd have liked. However it's got some nice flavours, and doesn't go overboard with the sweetness.

Wel aardig. Zeker vergeleken met zo'n ongebalanceerde Amundsen siroop bom. Dit is meer stout, heeft meer body en het pastry gedeelte is een relatief subtiele aanvulling. Prima.

330ml bottle watching Garret's Gold. Black pour, small beige head. Aroma is big on the marshmallows, not so much tonka. Taste bears a fair sweetness, quite rich with prominent marshmallows, candyfloss, subtle tonka, some coffee, alcohol. Not as rich or sweet as some, thankfully, lacks a little finesse, but not unlikeable.
