DIPA by De Molen, bottle at Arendsnest in Amsterdam. Thickly moussy, snow white, lacing head, hazy orange blonde robe with khaki tinge. Aroma of tangerine, blood orange, ripe mango, green melon, Sultana raisins, mandarin juice, honey, jasmin blossom, pine resin, marijuana. Sweet, fruity onset, bright mandarin, melon and papaja impressions, soft carbo - a bit too soft actually, needlessly making the body thinner than it should be for a 9% ABV beer; oily and bit vinous feeling. Rounded white bready and sweetish caramelly malt base, long aromatically hoppy finish, very lively and colourful in the citrus department with piney accents to it; gin-like alcohol warms the throat afterwards, while the citrusy hop bitterness lingers. Mouthwatering aroma, but just a bit lacking in body for such a big beer and in that sense more DIPA than IIPA (but then, who cares if this distinction isn't even made on this site).

Bottle. Dark orange pour. Aroma of vegetal mosaic, pineapple, mango, mild pine, tropical fruit and bready malt. Taste has bitter pineapple, vegetal mosaic, mango, oat, tropical fruit, mild caramel and a nice herbalness. Very good, like a dneipa.
