Like velvet on the tongue - chocolate, coffee and dark caramel - it pours heavy with a very thick, dominating head. The aroma is strong dark chocolate with subtle notes of coffee and vanilla. The lactose and vanillin (from the oak) beautifully round the flavours together. A little thin and bitter, like a porter should be, this leaves a slightly roasted coffee bean sensation. After swallowing this soft bitterness gives way to a long lasting vanilla coating on the palate.

Christmas Special. A vanilla and chocolate porter aged on French oak and rested on organic cocoa nibs and Madagascar vanilla pods.

Small caveat - each bottle (4100) has been hand tied and waxed by our brewery staff. You have to unwrap every bottle (like an xmas present) to get inside. ;)

Can. Dark brown, almost black body with a light, beige head. Nice aroma of dark malt, coffee and vanilla. Flavor is very smooth, dark malt, coffee, chocolate and balanced amount of vanilla. Mild bitterness. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. Tasty and smooth.

Frothy lighjtbrown good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Some roast. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

0,33l can at home bought from Etre Gourmet. Canned 19.08.2020. BB 19.02.2022. black color, small coffee colored head. smells soapy, vanilla, bit medical, light chocolate, toffee, light smoky, bubbly. decent to nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes earthy, bit stale, chocolate, soy sauce, ashy, leathery, toffee, peppery, bit medical (from the carbonation), light sweetness. finishes lightly roasty bitter with notes of soy sauce, medical notes and some toffee. hmm, pretty decent, just got this this week, this is probably a bit older then I would like. Rather heavy on the soy sauce, for me also too soapy / too much carbonation for a Porter. Vanilla rather subtle, also taste a bit oldish already. Overall still quite good, but not as good as expected.

Can from Beerdome. Black with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate and light vanilla. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter.

330ml can from Farmers Bar, Puchong, Malaysia. Poured a clear medium brown colour with a mostly lasting frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, light chocolate. The flavour is light sweet, light sour, with a light roasty, sour, herbal palate, Medium bodied with soft carbonation. The beer was mildly infected. For a chocolate and vanilla stout there was little sweetness. Disappointing that this beer found it’s way to market.

Can from Beerdome. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich roast malt, lots of chocolate and vanilla, coffee, cocoa, hops and has a nice bitter roasty finish.

Can on 1st January 2021 from Beer52 Advent Calendar. Pours solid mahogany black with deep tan foam soon reducing to little more than a film. Rich roasty malts aroma. Rich and intense coffee roastiness in-mouth with hints of tart fruits and just the suggestion of smoke. A nutty finish. Full bodied with an engaging texture. A delight.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a dark black with a beige color head. Aroma is chocolate, vanilla, rich malts. Taste is Taste is spicy, chocolate, vanilla, roasted malts, sweet finish.
