Draft at the source, 1/09/2014. Light amber color with lasting head retention. Aroma is a botanical garden, abundance of flowers nothing but a tom of flowers. Flavor is like drinking old ladys perfume with a very subdued hint of peat.only got the peat in the last half oz. Heather flower... A lot of heather flower. Not my thing.

16oz draught at the brewery with Bucknaked on 8/11/2005. Amber-copper colored beer with a rapidly fleeting head. Nothing left behind, not even bits of bubbles. Fairly clear, no haziness in this sample. Smoke pours forth from the nose, bacon and pork rinds. Band-aid phenols abound. Smells like smoked band-aids. Tastes like band-aids too, mixed in with some pork bbq. Sweet, caramelly with a very low carbonation. Light acid and some dried black cherries. Thick and syrupy with some notes of plastic and medicine (band-aids more or less) smokiness. Really not that bad, just need to work on bringing forth some other flavors than just pure smoke and caramel. Pretty difficult to finish this much, starts to get cloying on the end, rather candyish. Could use more carbonation to make it more drinkable. I think the Scotch ale designation is a good one. Medium-full body, but somewhat watery. Slick, heavy mouthfeel.
