Keeping an eye out for the smugglers - the coast guard station guards the inlet to Sommarösund. The inlet was used as a safe passage as far back as the 15th century by both fishermen and seamen. Nowadays it's known to the locals and visitors alike as a summer paradise. Here the water always tends to be warmer than other places in the archipelago. During summers you will find the beach filled with people enjoying life and even on the coldest of winter days winter bathing is common in Sommarösund.

33cl bottle (part of a set of four bottles) bought onboard Aurora Botnia from Umeå til Vaasa. Pours hazy yellow with a modest, white head. Wheaty, yeasty and somewhat fruity with spicy notes as well; not-so-ripe bananas and coriander. Medium to low flavour intensity with mild acidic notes. Somewhat refreshing.

Bottle, huge thanks oh6gdx! Murky yellow body, off-white head. Spicy, herbal, bit yeasty aroma, smells somewhat like chicken soup. Soft wheaty taste, low carbonation, some grassy, spicy touches. Okay but not Kvarken's best beer.
