The giant erupts from an ocean dark as chocolate. A monster masked by a fog of thick smoke, poised under a coffee black sky. Moonlight lacing clings to its robust structure, and descends as if a rib cage disappearing into waves of foam. No one knows from whence it came, yet

Riprap's intentions are known: To shock the bashful and excite the bold.

16 ounce can. Opaque black color. Small creamy tan head. Roasted malt nose has a hint of mocha. Sweet roasted malt flavor upfront. There is a slightly smoky nuance going on. Further notes of coffee and cocoa come forward. Sweet and sticky.

Keg from Beer Table Pantry into a 1 pint stone mason jar, consumed at the hotel - 23/11/13. Dark black with a good sized tan covering that thins to a pond. Nose is dark malts, sweet brown sugar, light booze, liqourice, chocolate cake, dark fruit tones. Taste comprises chocolate cake mix, liqourice, hint of coffee, tar, brown sugars, dark berry fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, sweet finale with a little dry roastiness. Decent Baltic Porter but a little overly sweet for my liking at times.
