The giant erupts from an ocean dark as chocolate. A monster masked by a fog of thick smoke, poised under a coffee black sky. Moonlight lacing clings to its robust structure, and descends as if a rib cage disappearing into waves of foam. No one knows from whence it came, yet

Riprap's intentions are known: To shock the bashful and excite the bold.

Keg from Beer Table Pantry into a 1 pint stone mason jar, consumed at the hotel - 23/11/13. Dark black with a good sized tan covering that thins to a pond. Nose is dark malts, sweet brown sugar, light booze, liqourice, chocolate cake, dark fruit tones. Taste comprises chocolate cake mix, liqourice, hint of coffee, tar, brown sugars, dark berry fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, sweet finale with a little dry roastiness. Decent Baltic Porter but a little overly sweet for my liking at times.

Growler from a keg at Beer Table Pantry - NYC. Pours rich brown-black with a thick, khaki froth head. Nose has some ashy roast, charred beef. Medium sweet flavor, nice charry roast, milk chocolate, minerals, mild earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, further char, minerals, chocolate, burnt toast. Solid.

Tap at the Jeffrey. Pours jet black with faint cocoa nose. Tastes of burnt coffee, chocolate, rootbeer, touch herbal, and soil. Kinda harsh on palate. But tasty enough with enough carbonation to make it quite drinkable.
