A modern style amber session ale. Brewed with maris otter and crystal malt together with continental hops. Smooth tasting with toffee notes and lemon/orange on the nose. Very popular ale. We brew it all the time to stop it selling out.

Cask-conditioned at the Lansdown, Bristol 1/4/2016. Deep amber in colour, with a slight, white, head. Aroma of leafy hops and hedgerow and orange fruit. Flavour had more fruit, biscuity malts, leading to a dryish finish. Good.

(Cask at Gallows Bird Real Ale Festival 2016) The beer poured deep golden and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had malts, caramel and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were malts, caramel, earth and bitterness. Aftertaste was bitter. A pleasant brew.

Cask @ Gallows Bird, Real Ale festival 2016. Pours clear amber in color with a thin lasting white head. Quite strongly hopped, bit harsh in the finish. Citrusy, dried fruits, sprints in both aroma and flavor . Some biscuity notes as well in flavor. Typical bitter, decent enough.

Cask at The Anchor, Birmingham. Poured a clear chestnut brown with a thin white head. The aroma has citrus notes, but you won’t get that if you have a cold. The flavour is weak bitter and malty and the bitterness stayed around in the aftertaste. There isn’t much else really and normally this would not be enough for me, but I really enjoyed this beer. It was really smooth and went down a treat!
