Juice Bomb’s big brother! This ridiculously hopped double IPA has a big, orange aroma w/ flavor notes of passionfruit, papaya & citrus.

Very hazy peach, orange and light copper coloured body with a very thin and fast-dying tan head. Aroma of citrus, pepper, hay, grass, flowers, resin, light orange, tangerine and a tiny bit of deep grapefruits, along with bunches of alcohol and astringency. Medium to slightly Full-bodied; Deep, super bitter and assertive, astringent flavours show at first with pepper bitterness, a dash of medicinal and pungent alcohol warmth, all ending with some fruits and light sweetness noticeable at the very end. Aftertaste shows the alcohol warmth, astringency and bitter grapefruit/orange notes all on the same page, but quite strongly. Some floral and more 'plain' hop notes and bitterness at the end, with the grassy and herbal flavours that almost show more of an older school West Coast IPA than a New England Imperial-ish IPA, but the citrus really comes through and you see the haze, of course. Overall, good, but not great, and I preferred the original Juice Bomb, but this is good for those who like a beer with more of an Imperial status. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from the Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 05-June-2020 for US$5,57 sampled at my house here in Washington on 10-June-2020, just five days later.

Can pour. Appearance is opaque dark yellow/light brown with lots of bubbles on the sides of the glass becoming light sparkle, finger-width off-white thin creamy head with good retention and nice sudsy lacing. Aroma is strong orange citrus, tropical fruit with danky cooking herbs/scallions. Taste follows aroma to a T. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, creamy texture, soft carbonation, nice moderate alcohol warmth late and finish as taste. Overall, Sloop knows themselves some juice! Really strong juicy aroma and flavor with some herbal quality for interest. Very good.

16 oz. can in a trade with tfontana. Dude, yes!! Flavor is juicy orange, vanilla ( NOT form lactose!), fuck milk sugar, hints of the tropics, and moderate grassy bitterness. Mosaic or Simcoe shows in the finish. Texture is still very juicy. A very proper New England IPA. Juice and grassy. Real good!

16 oz can from Halftime, 6/1/30. Pours a fully hazed, brighter orange color, hues of gold emanate from the glass on this sunny Monday evening. The glass is pretty well coated in a streaky, off-white lace. Pineapple / citrus zest. Somewhat juicy, a little bitter. Solid, but wanted more from this one.

Ca, from Malt & Mold. Pours extremely hazy dull yellow looking like orange juice, small foamy off-white head, citrus-melon aroma, low carbonation, mildly bitter citrus peel-melon-pineapple taste, somewhat thick body, long finish with faint alcohol aftertaste. Smooth and tasty, but the alcohol escapes a bit.
