Handpull cask at the Criterion, Leicester. Golden, clear with a white film of head that leaves appreciable lacing. Light lemony aroma with touches of soap and bready malts. Clean bittersweet taste with a hoppy and considerably bitter finish. Citrussy hops in the aftertaste. Simple, but I took to this.

Bottle from The Crafty One, Ilkeston, Derbyshire, consumed at home Sunday 23rd April 2017 having just prepared ’chicken with olives, capers and dates’ for tonight’s tea. I cannot quite believe that it took Shiny this long to think of this name for a beer, anyway onto the beer. Pours dirty, hazy, murky gold with a white head that holds a volcano of white foam in the middle. Nice bitterness, fruity with a grubby lemony bitterness, dry, yes pretty dry back end. Good.
