Half-pint, cask ale at Ice Wharf, shared with Finn. Wetherspoon Beer Festival, March 24. Clingy lacing from a beige head, clear dark ruby brown body. Moderate aromas toffee and earthy malts. Quite well blended taste of nuts, toffee, earth, and biscuit. Lightly roasted malt-driven end. Pretty decent. (London, 16.03.2024).

Cask @ Regal Moon, Rochdale. Amber-red with a head. Not particularly nutty but a nice hopped darker style in this instance.

Cask (gravity) at Standing Order, Derby. Pours a deep ruby with minimal off-white head. The aroma has malts and autumn fruits plus some traces of hops. In the mouth it is quite sweet with a chewy texture and malts to the fore. Plenty of other underlying flavours too – plums, cherries, hazelnuts, cashews and raspberries for instance. All leading to a slightly dry finish. This is decent.
