GBBF Day 1. Cask. Almost clear paleish gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and fairly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Light malts, whisper of grain. Light floral citrus. Touch of pithy tangerine. Light and semi dry finish. Yeah it's okay. Ish.

A hazy, light yellow beer, a head is big and white. Aroma has biscuits, lemon, some green herbs. Taste has biscuity maltyness, herbs, low citrus, quite dry. Light+ bodied, medium carbonation. Quite herbal, would be better with more fruits. Refreshning and good beer, anyway.

500ml bottle from Appleyards, Shrewsbury. Pours clear gold, large rocky white head. Aroma of autumnal malts, spelt. Taste bears Monty’s didtinctive cereal malt character, with a light hop bitterness. Good refeshing golden ale.

Cask at Market Porter. Pours clear yellow with a soft, foamy white head. Hoppy aroma with lemon citrus and grass. Flavor has some sharp cereal malts and plenty of bitter fruits. Light in body with average carbonation. Finishes very dry with lingering hops. Decent.
