Bottle from A Hoppy Place, Windsor. Aroma is dominated by the tonka and cherry. Bitter edge. Dark and glossy. Tan head briefly foams before dissipating. Initial sweetness with a bitter edge. Tonka. Develops a sourness but it's the sweetness that is key, albeit it is kept in check. And, yeah, the tonka dominates the taste also. Thick. Oily. Flat-average carbonation. Loonnggg slightly astringent finish. My initial reaction was that it was just going to be a sickly sugar bomb but it's fine. Just works like more darkness from an Impy Stout.
