Taste comprises grapefruit, pine needle, orange pith, light hop spice, ripe melon, dank edges, mango flesh, Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with lightly aggressive juicy hop bitterness and a balanced rising boost. Solid easy drinking and approachable DIPA.

Can from A Hoppy Place, Windsor. Aroma of nail polish... OK... scrap that, I've moved into another room away from the Mrs' grooming. Aroma of stone fruit, fruit sugar, resin and onion. Hazy pale orange. Creamy translucent white head soon thins. Medium-heavy bitter. Fruity sour edge. Resinous streak. Underlying boozy bite. The bitter grainy rye is more evident in the finish. Heavy bodied. Slick. Sticky. Slightly pithy. Average carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Good stuff. Let's you know that it's an Impy.

440ml Can (Bookshop Alehouse, Southampton) - Pale amber/dark golden in colour. Grapefruit, mango, peach and dried apricot in the aroma. Hoppy, fruity and slightly tangy taste with notes of pine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, apricot and a faint hint of caramel. Very nice and not cloying like some DIPA's can be.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up at Clapton Craft. Pours hazy yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. Overall, quite nicely rounded, with lots of subtly gooey citrus fruits, melon, tangerine, lemon. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Finishes with light alcohol warmth, more melon, ripening citrus fruits, bready pale malts, soft rindy bitterness. It is really quite smooth, and drinks very easily.
