Bottled. Pitch black colour, mediumsized beigeish brown head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is rye, some mild earthy, ashy, toasted and caramel tones with some dried fruity tones too. Flavour is dried fruits, roasted, mild lactose, coffee and some slight bitter and toasted tones to it.

Tap @ Borefts 2017. Deep dark brown color, rye coffee and chocolate in the aroma. Malt, rye in the sweet flavor. Licorice, leurel and caramel. Good one.

Bottle at LKS. it pous jet black with a small tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, toasted marshmallow, roasty action, rocky road, bit of spice, vanilla ice cream and toast. The taste is dry, bitter, charred wood, toasty, peppery spice, roasted malt rocky road and some earth with a drying finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Nice aroma in particular.

Bottle shared in Hackney - purchased in London. Pours deep brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose holds good roast, ash, cocoa. Light sweet flavour with sturdy ashy roast, baking cocoa, charged wood. Medium bodied, lightly creamy, with fine carbonation. Hearty finish, lots more ashy roast, woody dryness, bitter dark chocolate. Solid.

Bottled 330ml (BGonzo)
Opaque colour, medium-sized brownish head and some lace. Toasted aroma has some ash, hops and light cellary tartness. Medium-bodied almost full, very robust for this ABV. Roasted, milky, coffeish flavour. Some licorice. Solid stout! Not a black IPA.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at Maidenhead Beer Festival 20/10/2017. Near black in colour, with a thin, beige, head. Leafy hops, dark chocolate, full bodied and slightly sweet malts, earthy malts and liquorice, leading to a dryish finish. Good.

Süßlich getreidiger Antrunk. Dabei hält sich die Süße zurück, weich herb-getreidig, trocken, moderat würzig. Steigend schokoladig zum Ende, weich, herb, rund, langer Nachhall mit erdigen Noten. 11/10/11/11//11

Thank you for sharing! Sampled draft @ Borefts 2017. Day 2. Black with no head. Nose is thick liquorice, herbal biter, dark fruit syrup. Taste is herbal syrup, bitter herbal, very thick syrup, weirdly alcoholic. Thick liquorice syrup. Very heavy bit much syrupy, intense.
