On tap at Hopshead, pours a clear dark copper amber with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt and light toasted toffee. Flavour is quite restrained, with English bready malt and a hint of hops. Rather restrained but pleasant brown here. Solid.

Tap - once again, Hogshead makes a brown that I not only find drinkable, butreally enjoy - combines a nice toffee sweetness with a balancing mineral bite, moderate mushroomy earthiness, a touch of leather and smoke - moderate bitterness and toasty malts - lightly peaty finish - excellent brown.
