Cask gravity at GBBF 2018. It pours darkest brown with a small tan head. The aroma is rich coffee character, umami, leather, liquorice, spicy, peppery, dull chocolate and earth. The taste is slick, oily, charred wood, burnt toast, smoked malt, liquorice, peppery spice, toasted sesame and leather with a dry, umami finish. Medium + body and fine carbonation. Plenty of umami. Decent.

On tap at Jack's Abby, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of lactose and espresso upfront, with a little cocoa. Flavour is nicely rounded, with a nice mix of coffee, lactose and a little chocolate. Milky, chocolatey palate, with good balance. Nice stuff.

Can - black pour - a smooth and balanced sweet stout, tempered by bitter but not astringent coffee character, dark chocolate, vanilla - finishes acidic and lightly bitter - tasty.

Can from Jeff, thanks for the hookup. Inky black color with a thin mocha head that dissipates quickly. Sweet stout faint coffee light dark pitted fruits a hint of earth on the nose. The flavor is rich caramel and chocolate with mild coffee and a light sugary sweetness. Pretty damn tasty beer!

16 oz. can purchased at CBC, Amesbury location. Beautiful appearance. Aroma is a deep roasted barley, chocolate, strong coffee. Flavor is a reflection, hints of lactose sugar, coffee, and layers of malt. The creamy texture also has a fuller body for a 7.5%. Very flavorful but god damn the milk sugar!!!
