OK, so I thought it was some new craft beer company, then I saw it was from GD. Therefore, it can't be all bad; besides; GD introduced me to ale I could enjoy!! This can is slightly hazy and pale. And, BTW, I'm not sure if this is even the place for this rating, it does not say idaho 7 on the can anywhere; I guess GD & RB will just figger we'd know. When I'm done telling you how rubbery bitter this is, I'll go see of there is another GD beer with the same name. Yea because it says Bitter strong and nasty is the game in town here. Yes, totally and freshly smashing yer buds with an early maturing spring inner tube tree fruit; chew on it mah fah. Ok, so what you gather from this is its just another big ass bitter IPA that is terribly on style. At least it has some decent co2 on the finish.

Tap @ P Kornet. Slightly unclear golden body with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma has distinct malt and some more undefined flavors. Kinda fruity with herbs and slightly perfumed hops. The flavor takes a few sips to get settled, its sweet malt and definitively hoppy, but a bit unusually like the aroma. It,s fruity, spicy, perfumed, earthy something. Anyway it works in an almost subtle way. Medium body and pleasant aftertaste. Would love to taste this again as the first or second beer, not number ten or so.

12oz can pours with a near clear straw gold body that supports a tall off white head. The aroma offers up floral, guava, flower pedals and pink grapefruit. The taste delivers an array of hoppy notes with bitter grapefruit, flowery notes, lemon grass, blunted yet bitter citrus and then a thin sweet malt undercurrent. Another sip and the floral, lemon like citrus and pineapple blend together to create a mild strawberry sensation. This is pretty fun.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a murky peach color with a huge fluffy yellow-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was dry, chalky, yeasty and had notes of lemon and grapefruit. The flavor was very bitter, chalky and yeasty with lemon and strong grapefruit. Very long finish. Moderately full bodied. Solid

Pale with a bit of haze. Bubbly head. Has a nice I7 dankness, and breezy pale malts. On the palate it’s dank, fruity, with a really nice pale malt backdrop and a nice lemony character. I’ve had brighter I7 before but this is pretty nice.

Can from Bine & Vine. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma made me think of sweat at first, but it might be a strange reaction to bergamot. Med body or so. Flavor is weird for an IPA. Kind of earthy, and dare I say, bergamot. I have had Idaho 7 ales before, and I don’t recall them being weird. But... This is fairly dry, the malt isn’t very noticeable, and it’s certainly bitter. I just wish I was enjoying the flavor more. Weird again. But it is hoppy, dryish, bitter, flavorful - so ... It gets good numbers from me.

3 month old can > shaker. A: Pours pale hazy gold with a short tight head. Very good retention, busy bubbles and lots of lace left on the glass. S: Light but nice aroma of tart orange/tangerine and faint caramel. T: Bitter and very citrusy, big on pith notes. Also some zest and lightly toasted bread. M: Light, slick and grainy with a finely coating bubble wash. Dry powdery finish. O: Not bad at all but lacking a bit in flavor complexity. Of course, showcasing the featured hop was the purpose and I think that was done well.

Can from ABV. Pours a clear golden color with a medium to small white head. A light perfume and lemon nose, really sweet to the point of smelling like Diacetyl. The flavor is oily hop resin, some lemons, a bit of orange. Very slick. Pungent. OK.

Cat: Daffodil, cat pee, and mango aroma. Clear golden, medium head, nice lacing. Honey, daffodil, and violets, strong. Medium body, easy carbonation. Unlike any other Great Divide beer, but still fantastic. Very distinctive.
