Can shared by someone at the meeting tonight, thanks for the opportunity. Resinous citrus earthy with a faint sweet bready maltiness, pretty good.

Shared by tderoeck, cheers! Session IPA from Aeronaut, a craft brewery in Massachusetts. Thick and frothy, creamy, egg-white head over a cloudy straw blonde beer with greenish hue. Rich and fragrant aroma of candied lemon, ripe passionfruit, soap, marihuana, bitter underside of orange peel, sweet onion, pink grapefruit flesh, biscuit. Lively fruity onset, hinting at lime, starfruit and granadilla, tropical and lush, softly carbonated, with a slick but ’fluffy’, somewhat soapy mouthfeel, biscuity malt sweetness underlying, leading to a long resinous and very aromatic hop finish, dank and citrusy, grapefruit bitter but still more aromatic than harshly bittering, very elegant. Another typical (albeit indeed ’session’) example of the ’New England IPA’ style that was sparked by the success of Heady Topper and is currently embodied by the highly acclaimed IPAs of e.g. Trillium and Tree House, cloudy in appearance and retaining yeast fruitiness due to being unfiltered, while at the same time putting more emphasis on tropical, delicate and sour-and-sweet hop aromas than on ’hard’ hop bitterness as is more often the case in the better known West Coast IPAs.

Fresh 16 oz. can from Spruce Creek Provisions. Hazy, bright yellow color, lasting fizzy head. Aroma is huge grassy hops with a huge floral bouquet.
I when say a huge floral bouquet, I mean a huge FLORAL bouquet. The floral presence mixed with the grassy hops was a huge turnoff for me. Mosaic mixed with whatever other hop variety the used just was hard to stomach. Only got through about 3 ounces and handed to a friend to finish. It also had a real thin body like so many other "session IPA’S" tend to have. I tried to give this a chance but just not for me.

Draught at Smoke Shop, 7/27/16.
From the brewery that everyone loves to hate comes....an actual good beer! Really haven’t been fair to Aeronaut at all. After having two bad beers from them over a year ago, I’ve basically shunned them, but I’m glad I gave this one a chance.
Strong white head tops a moderately hazy, peachy-gold body.
Mosaic adds light tropical/yellow fruits to the nose while soft biscuits intertwine with lemony citra notes. Definitely bare on the malts, but it’s appreciated, as the hops are left feeling quite juicy and bright and low on resin/pine. Clean, as well, with no alcohol.
In the mouth, there’s a good juiciness to it and lots of dryness. Carbonation is mostly engaging, with no flaw or alcohol and moderate bitterness. There is just a bit too much dry, grainy, borderline husky (I said "papery", while drinking it) malt character, but it’s otherwise very well-done, with no strong bitterness, no resin and light, soft, juicy hop flavors with a crisp, dry finish. Nice, will definitely try some more Aeronaut.
