Can @ Best Western Plus, San Diego. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, fruity hops, peach, citrus, light grapefruit, pine. Flavor is rather bitter, malt, fruity hops, citrus, pine. Medium to full body, average carbonation, dry and rather bitter finish. 240718

355ml can. Pours bright gold. Dank, peach, caramel, syrup, minerally, toffee, touch of biscuit, harsh bitter finish. Good full body. Not my kind of DIPA.

Can from Appellation Wines. Pours clear pale gold with a thin white head. Aromas of citrus, fruit salad, resin, papaya. Taste is bitter, orange, more papaya and red grape. Bitter finish.

Can from Appellation Wines Comely Bank. Appearance - golden with a decent head. Light haze. Nose - mango and guava. Canned peach. Taste - more canned peach. Sweaty guava edge to it. Palate - medium bodied, creamy yet tangy. Not as clean on the finish as expected but good linger. Overall - enjoyed this.

From a 355ml can on 17/6/2018 (shared by Butz with thanks). Pours a clear medium golden with a biggish foamy white heat. The nose features light caramel and some fruit. The flavour features some caramel malt, some sweet citrus followed by a slightly sour, firmish bitterness. The texture is slightly syrupy and the carbonation moderate. Just ok for mine, but below par for the style.

12 ounce can. Pours a clear orange hue with a medium white head. A light husky citrus nose. Sweet, earthy, some bitter resin, oily. Earthy dry finish with some heat. Oily. Hot. OK. Old school.

Can. Almost clear gold with an inch of white head. Aroma of citrus (grapefruit, herbal lemon), lesser tropical and pine notes. Almost sticky, lowish carbonation. Very sweet with peach and caramel. Tropical fruit, particularly mango is much more prominent than in the aroma until strongish bitterness starts to grip and pine struggles into view. One of those where the sweetness is probably needed to stop the finish getting too harsh. But it's pretty good and the hops are punchy. I'd have guessed it a tad stronger than 8.5%.

Beaverfest. Day 1. Keg. Almost clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Thin but creamy sweet malts. Good pine and hop skunk. Light piney citrus. Smooth finish. Good if lacking a little hop punch.

Keg at the Beavertown Extravaganza, Day Juan, 08/09/17. Clear golden with a decent off white head. Nose is pissy citric stained straw, pine needle, grapefruit, toasted grains, orange pith. Taste comprises grapefruit, pine resin, citric pith, lemon rind, mandarin, toasted grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi dyring close peppered with lightly aggressive hop bitterness. Decent easy drinking DIPA.

Tap@Beavertown Extravaganza 2017, London - pours amber with a white head. Comprises sweet tropical fruits, prominent grapefruit and tangerine, citrus peel, with good malty backbone, caramel, resinous hoppy, pine needles, medium bitter finish.
