12 ounce bottle. Pours a brassy gold color with a large fluffy white head. Floral hop nose with obvious citrus overtones. Some sulphury notes. Bittersweet toasted maltiness upfront, with that characteristic biscuity New Belgium pedigree. Tropical fruit notes throughout. Tangerine and mango come to mind. Spicy dry hop finish. Decent IPA.

12 oz bottle poured into a paper cup at my work’s chili cook-off. Clear golden yellow with off-white head. Aromas of citrus, floral, light malt. Tastes of citrus, floral notes, light malt, candied lemon/orange. Medium body with a dry finish. Pretty good.

Thistle, butter, honey, and grapefruit nose, kind of funky. Clear amber, medium head, nice lacing. Lemongrass, lillies. Lemon-lime finish. Light body, soft carbonation. Hoppy but not as citrusy as I expected. Actually drinks like a wet hop beer.

Bottle. Better Beer Of The Month Club. Clear deep golden-orange with a white head. Pleasant aroma of citric hops and some tangerine. Rather dry flavor, with light sweetish malt, light graininess, a tangerine note, and moderately bitter nice grapefruity hops. Medium-bodied. Nice.

Bottle. It pours a clear light golden orange color with an off white head. The aroma is pretty potent with lots of tangerine. Pretty fresh and authentic. If you like tangerines, you’ll probably be excited by the smell. The flavor is also pretty tangerine forward, but some sweet doughy malts kind of get in the way. The Citra character is almost non-existent except for maybe a hint of grapefruit in the flavor. The body is a bit chewy for me in this kind of beer, and it distracts from the crisp citrus that is supposed to be the focus. Overall, I like the tangerine character. It’s fresh and authentic in both the aroma and flavor, but the beer as a whole could’ve been so much better.
