Cask at the Playhouse Spoons, Colchester. Clear deep amber brown beer, decent bubbly tan head. Palate is light and fairly smooth, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. The mouthfeel is light but the dark malts flavoursome, dark chocolate and oatmeal combine nicely with the pine and mild spice of the Perle hops. Ripe fruits on the end including a touch of banana that fits rather well. Good flavoursome cask offering.

Cask at Archibald Simpsons, Aberdeen.ig pours dark ruby to black with a medium fluffy tan head. The aroma is dark roasted malt, deep roasted coffee beans, espresso blend, quite savoury, toasted nut, praline, cacao nibs, premium dark chocolate and slightly charred edges. The taste is initially drying, bitter, dark roasted malt, bitter - sweet dark chocolate, cacao nibs, tannin, charred wood, lovely rich coffee character, chocolate covered coffee beans and some toasted spice and a dark roasted finish with bite. Medium body and average carbonation. A nice robust cask stout.

Clear dark brown with a ruby tinge and a small bubbly light tan head. Soft roasted chocolate malt and some dark fruity aroma on the nose, smooth and rich, hints of oak and treacle alongside bitter chocolate and coffee, some hop character pushing through with a very dry finish
